Brilliant!
13 November 2019 | by lstelaSee all my reviews

After watching this film, I have the impression that good, deep cinema has left Hollywood and settled in Europe. One of the best new Polish films I've watched! Climatic, deep, intelligent, suspenseful. Pictures Pawel Edelman (The Pianist) and scenography Allan Starski (Oscar for Schindler's list) are doing a good job! The film is suspenseful but also transmits deep content. A PLUS for an important stage, when the director of the palace (Robert Wieckiewicz) in the ruins of Warsaw in simple words describes to the guest (Bill Pullman) the treason of the Soviets during the Warsaw Uprising. PLUS for him for the twisted role of a director, communist, and at the same time a former soldier of an underground WWII army . PLUS for Bill Pullman for his good role! PLUS for a beautiful main theme Bond-style song.
