the trio – Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Milan Luthria rocks, Very stylish Movie.
2 September 2017 | by smitapaiSee all my reviews

What makes a film good? What makes a film bad? It's simply audience expectations and opinions thereafter. Expectations were very high in the case of Baadshaho; we had a precedence that we used to benchmark the trio – Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Milan Luthria. We went with a mind for more (than what we received in OUTIM); however, this isn't the right perspective to watch a film. One needs to appreciate that both every film is unique and has its own context.

If watched the film without any preconceived notions and trust me this was hard (always things are easier said than done!). But the minute you clear out your mind, it's the time you start appreciating and enjoying the film. I had a good time chasing the chase. There were twists and turns that kept me glued. The dialogues were bit dated but they were refreshing as we don't get them often these days. It had total masala one would look in for (yes, an item song is there too).

Performance was powerful; all did a fantastic job. Ileana D'Cruz deserves a special mention here. Music was good; all songs were well woven in to the context and the filmmakers have done good detailing with regards to the background score. The editing of second half could be tighter and so was the case with the screenplay. Overall, a very decent watch in 2017.
