Faced with this burden, Jay and her friends must find a way to escape the horrors, that seem to be only a few steps behind. Written by Jose Tamayo

Trivia

The film alludes to teenage problems through its props. This is seen when Jay is lining up blades of grass on her upper leg (cutting/suicide), as well as Jay's uneaten tray of food in her room (eating disorders) that first has a pill laid out on a napkin, and later is the only thing touched from the tray (drug dependency). Goofs

"It" would have no reason to climb on Jay's roof. It always takes the most direct route to the cursed, through a door or window. See more »

Quotes

Hugh: Okay, even thought it is following you I can still see it. It is not done with me either. Okay, like I told you, all you can do is pass it on to someone else.
Kelly Height: What the fuck are you talking about?
Hugh: She can do the same thing I did. It should be easier for her, she is a girl. Any guy would be with you. Just sleep with someone else and tell him to do the same thing. Maybe it will never come back.

What is so special about this one? Horrible and boring
16 September 2018 | by rambofan4lifeSee all my reviews

What is so special about this one? It is one of the worst horror films I have ever seen. Boring and stupid. No gore, no nudity. Only 2 people are killed on a weird way. We have not likable lead of a girl who get sex three times and she is not nude. Her sister and her friends are helping her out? Why? You have a supernatural ghost who redicusely follows her, try's to kill's her only because she had sex? This movie is horrendous boring, stupid and it makes no sense.

Jay Height (Maika Monroe) is a stupid heroine. Her boyfriend Paul shots a ghost with a gun and kills the ghost how did he do that? You can't kill a ghost with a gun when he/she is dead. It is not logical. I hate horror movies today. It Follows sucks, boring illogical brainless garbage movie. While this girl Jay Height had sex three times just why? From 2013 till 2018 horror movies suck.

If you want to watch a good supernatural horror film? Watch Poltergeist (1982) or watch a Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) or Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives which are all 80's horror Supernatural films. This movie is not a good one but more a boring overrated overlong movie.

What happened to good slasher films today? from 2001 - 2009 they are still good horror films but today we don't see any good slasher films with nudity like the 80's had. Watch My Bloody Valentine 3D (2009) at least in that movie there was nudity and gore while in here it is an hour and 40 mins of boring. I hate both of the leads Jay and Paul they both sucks. I hate this film it is a peace a trash. Period.

I will rather watch 80's horror films like Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter, Friday the 13th part 2, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, The Prowler, Friday the 13th (1980), Friday the 13th Part III 3D, Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning, My Bloody Valentine, Masterblaster, Predator, Just Before Dawn, Hellraiser, A Nightmare On Elm Street, The Thing, The Blob, The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, The Fog, Prince of Darkness, Fright Night, The Howlling, Aliens, Leviathan, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master and many more horror films.

For 2000 I will rather watch Friday the 13th, The Hills Have Eyes, My Bloody Valentine 3D, Fright Night, House of Wax, Thir13en Ghosts, Don't Breath, Freddy vs. Jason, The Collector, The Collection, Final Destination 1,2,3,4 and 5 and many better movies than It Follows. Peace.
