Storyline

From Mark Osborne comes the first-ever animated feature film adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's iconic masterpiece, The Little Prince. At the heart of it all is The Little Girl, who's being prepared by her mother for the very grown-up world in which they live - only to be interrupted by her eccentric, kind-hearted neighbor, The Aviator. The Aviator introduces his new friend to an extraordinary world where anything is possible. A world that he himself was initiated into long ago by The Little Prince. It's here that The Little Girl's magical and emotional journey into her own imagination - and into the universe of The Little Prince - begins. And it's where The Little Girl rediscovers her childhood and learns that ultimately, it's human connections that matter most, and that what's truly essential can only be seen with the heart. Trivia

Mark Osborne revealed that the book deeply affected him on a personal level when it was given to him by his wife years ago, back when they were dating. The two were college students at the time and trying to keep their long-distance relationship alive. "The Little Prince brought us back together," he admits. "I paid very close attention to it. It means so much to me and to everyone who has read the book, because it really connects you to the significant relationships and friendships in your life." Osborne's wife is thanked in the credits. Goofs

The mother tears the story pages in two halfway through the movie, however when she hands the old man the book at the end, there is no evidence of their ever having been torn. See more »

Quotes

The Little Prince: I am looking for friends. What does that mean - tame?
The Fox: It is an act too often neglected," said the fox. "It means to establish ties.
The Little Prince: To establish ties?
The Fox: Just that," said the fox. "To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be ...

There is hope
27 October 2015 | by hdadizadehSee all my reviews

Very successful in bringing Little Prince into today. The movie made me to read the Little Prince again and learn more. The challenge between living natural and living modern became fully alive in my mind again and again. Like my childhood. I have a neighbor very similar to Aviator. He had long white hair and a very old jacket. He had a magic smile. I think he was very similar to Aviator. All of my memories of him became animated in front of my eyes while watching the movie. Maybe everyone has someone like Aviator in his or her life or must find. The snake scene was very deep like book. The movie made me to believe yet there is hope for peace.
