I just watched this movie for a second time and loved it even more than I did the first time. I really wasn’t expecting much from it, but it impressed me. It’s not a typical chick flick or sappy romantic comedy, it actually has depth and substance.
I can unfortunately relate to the struggles of the characters, especially Celeste. The acting was great - love Rashida Jones and she really shines in this. The way they portrayed a modern breakup was very realistic and honest. I like that both Jesse and Celeste are multidimensional characters. The writers don’t just try to label Jesse as a slacker and Celeste as type A, they instead show us that they both have layers.
Supporting cast is great too.
