‘Archer’ Renewed For Season 11 On FXX – Comic-Con
The misadventures of the world’s most self-centered and perhaps stupidest ex-spy-turned-space captain will continue. FXX said during its panel at Comic-Con today that the animated spy spoof Archer has been renewed for Season 11.

“We are incredibly excited for our 11th season and look forward to Archer waking up from his coma and returning to a spy world that has continued without him for the past three years,” executive producer Casey Willis said.

The show is wrapping the third of a three-season renewal it scored in 2016. That pickup followed a two-year renewal in 2014. The series was moved from FX to FXX for Season 8 in 2017 season.

The half-hour comedy’s current season, titled Archer: 1999, airs its penultimate episode Wednesday. It follows Sterling Archer, Lana Kane and their crew of acid-tongued misfits onboard the M/V Seamus salvage ship. An important question arises as they explore deep space and try to outsmart giant aliens,

‘Better Call Saul’ Short Loses Emmy Nominations in Light of Category Rule Violation
Better Call AMC: Two Emmy nominations for the network’s short-form series “Better Call Saul Employee Training: Madrigal Electromotive Security” have been pulled after it was deemed ineligible for competition.

The Television Academy recently discovered that the series didn’t meet the minimum required runtime of two minutes for at least six episodes — a new stipulation that was added to the Emmy rules this year.

As a result, the show’s nomination for outstanding short form comedy or drama series, as well as star Jonathan Banks’ nomination for outstanding actor in a short form comedy or drama series, have been revoked.

Luckily for Banks, he’s still nominated in the outstanding supporting actor in a drama series race, while “Better Call Saul” is still competing in the best drama category.

That clears the desk for the submission with the next highest number of votes in the category, SundanceTV’s “State of the Union,

The announcement was made with a brief teaser video played at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, with the video ending with the words “Only in Theaters.” The film will be distributed by Universal Pictures. No release date has been set.

The films were first announced in late 2018 following Andrew Lincoln’s departure from the flagship AMC series, on which Lincoln had played Grimes since the pilot.

“Walking Dead” chief content officer Scott Gimple will serve as writer. The film is planned to continue the story of Rick Grimes. AMC had originally planned to begin production as early as 2019 but it is unclear if that is still the case.

In addition to the film, there is also the main series, the sister series “Fear the Walking Dead,” and the recently announced third and untitled series.

Tyler Hoechlin & Brandon Routh To Suit Up As Superman For Arrowverse Crossover On the CW
Exclusive: Last year, the CW’s Arrowverse annual crossover event introduced Batwoman, played by Ruby Rose. This time, the producers of the DC franchise on the CW are planning a big stunt involving one of DC’s most recognizable superheroes, Superman. Two actors who have played the Man of Steel, Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh, will both portray him in different time frames. The news is expected to be revealed at Comic-Con.

Both Hoechlin and Routh are already members of the Arrowverse — Hoechlin recurs as Superman on Supergirl, while Routh plays Ray Palmer/The Atom on DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, a character he first introduced on Arrow.

‘The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance’ Screens First Episode at Sdcc After Five Years of Development

On Friday, Netflix aired the first episode from its highly-anticipated series “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance,” delighting fans crowded into San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H – and the streaming giant additionally released a sneak peek of a “making of” documentary special that will serve almost as an 11th episode of the series.

The documentary will allow audiences an opportunity to experience the intricate, handcrafted artwork that populates every frame of “Resistance,” director Louis Leterrier explained at a press conference before the panel.

“Resistance” has been in the works for over five years and is a prequel, not a reboot, of the original 1982 feature film “The Dark Crystal”. The timeline caused some questioning if fans would be distracted during the series by knowing where the story eventually ends up.

“We don’t really expect the audience to be thinking about that when they’re watching this,” executive producer – and daughter of Jim Henson,

Game of Thrones @ Comic-Con: Arya's Solo Act, Doomed 'Braime,' a Better Call Davos Spinoff?! and More
Though the behind-the-scenes protectors of the realm were not in attendance, that didn’t stop Game of Thrones faithful from making their feelings known at the show’s final San Diego Comic-Con panel Friday.

Overall, the show’s fans were respectful in dealing with the members of the show’s cast who took part in the victory-lap appearance — save some good-natured “boo!”s every once in a while during the celebration of the HBO fantasy drama. (And with no opportunity for fan questions at the end, that was as bad as it got.)

‘The Terror: Infamy’ New Trailer: Old Spirits Haunt a Photographer During World War II – Watch
On “The Terror: Infamy,” Chester Nakayama (Derek Mio) has big dreams to become a photographer, but his latest pictures are looking kind of funny, as can be seen below. AMC released a brand-new trailer at Comic-Con on Friday that leans into the J-horror inherent in this season’s mystery.

In its first season, the anthology series investigated what happened to Captain Franklin’s famed lost expedition, in which all 129 men aboard two Royal Navy ships were lost after they became icebound seeking the Northwest Passage. This season takes place during World War II, specifically during the internment of Japanese-Americans following the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Chester Nakayama is living on Terminal Island when his life is turned upside-down by the government and by a mysterious presence that has been haunting the community. The trailer mentions terms such as “yurei” – figures from Japanese folklore that are similar to ghosts – and “bakemono,
