“She was immensely encouraged by the love of her family, friends and those she had yet to meet,” he wrote. “Your kind, loving messages always lifted her spirits. ‘The Bachelor’s’ Mike Johnson on Diversity and New Leading Man Peter Weber

ABC named its newest star of “The Bachelor” this week, officially making Peter Weber the leading man for Season 24 of the long-running dating show.

Social media backlash ensued following the announcement due to ABC’s selection lacking diversity, yet again. Since the dating franchise began in 2002, there has been only one “Bachelorette” of color with Rachel Lindsay in Season 13, and there has never been a black “Bachelor” in the series’ 17-year history.

ABC has long faced criticism for its lack of diversity, but this year, the critiques were heard even louder because the network had a fan-favorite option with contestant Mike Johnson,

Fresh off a convincing victory in a contentious election, WGA West president David Goodman has asserted that writers need to demand their fair share of the profits — and that the guild will continue to take an aggressive stance.

“This is a booming, expanding industry, and we’re at the heart of it,” he said in an email sent Friday to members. “It should be an easy time to demand our fair share. But nothing’s easy, so we’ll do what is hard.”

Hdr Is Slowly but Surely Becoming the Industry Standard for Television Sets

Hdr is the new “most important” television technology, and if your TV doesn’t have it, you’re working with stone-age tech. Just remember: Hdr is not an upgrade to 4K, as most recent 4K TVs support Hdr — which is entirely unrelated to HD, by the way. Of course, 4K is sort of related to Uhd, which is like HD but with more ultra. Anyway, Hdr-equipped 4K TVs are undoubtedly better than 1080p displays… which are much, much better than 720p displays. A, B, C. 1, 2, 3. Etc.

If that felt like a lot of information, don’t worry: Trying to keep up with the litany of new tech acronyms that pop up seemingly every year can be dizzying for all but the most diehard of gadget enthusiasts. For most television and film viewers, we just want a screen that can display an impressive image; the kind of screen that displays appropriately inky dark blacks and bright,

TV Review: ‘A Little Late with Lilly Singh’
Lilly Singh is well aware of her unique place in late night. After kicking off her first episode with a rap dedicated to the fact that she is not, unlike every other network late-night host, a straight white man, Singh walks out onto her own stage and addresses it with her audience directly. “I get it…I’m not your traditional talk show host,” she says, grinning in a bright red suit. “The media’s mentioned that I’m a ‘bisexual woman of color’ so much that I feel like I should just change my name.” At this point, the
