Kevin Feige to Parody Thanos In Sunday’s ‘The Simpsons’ Episode
The Simpsons” was one of Disney’s myriad series to hit Disney+ when the service launched last year, which means it is long past time for some sweet, sweet corporate cross-promotion — Avengers style.

Variety reported that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who has produced all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, will make his acting debut in Sunday’s “Bart the Bad Guy” as “Chinnos,” who bears a blink-and-you-miss-it resemblance to a certain character that Josh Brolin recently portrayed in several other Disney-owned projects.

Feige’s distinctly Thanos-esque character — deformed chin and shiny armor included — isn’t the only Marvel cameo in the upcoming “The Simpsons” episode: Other guest stars will include “Avengers: Endgame” directors Anthony and Joe Russo, Cobie Smulders (who portrays Mariah Hill in the McU). Taran Killam and Youtuber Tal Fishman will also guest star.

‘The Eddy’: TV Review

‘The Eddy’: TV Review
“Jazz is Paris and Paris is jazz,” spoke-sang Malcolm McLaren a quarter-century ago, though the statement is valid as ever today: Since the end of World War I, when a number of African American soldiers settled in Paris — and still others left their music behind — the city has become a kind of world capital for jazz, with clubs still packing in audiences around town. “The Eddy” is named for one such dive, located in a neighborhood far from the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and other historic sites where Audrey Hepburn twirled in “Funny Face.”

The new eight-part Netflix series,

Apple Acquires the Rights to WeWork Limited Series

Apple Acquires the Rights to WeWork Limited Series
A “WeWork” limited series is being developed by Apple.

Variety reported that Apple is adapting the Wondery podcast “WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork,” with Lee Eisenberg (“Little America”) and former Warner Bros. executive Drew Crevello attached as co-writers and executive producers. The project will be produced by Wondery, whose Hernan Lopez, Marshall Lewy, and Aaron Hart will also serve as executive producers.

Apple landed the rights to the untitled project but has yet to order it to series.

If Apple does move forward with the series, the project’s writers will have a veritable goldmine of corporate malfeasance to incorporate into the limited series’ plot. WeWork, a real estate company that offers shared workspaces for startups, was co-founded by Adam Neumann, Rebekah Neumann, and Miguel McKelvey in 2010. Though the company initially enjoyed rapid growth and favorable media publicity, the company’s image rapidly collapsed when WeWork’s planned

Amazon Sets Horror-Comedy Series From ‘A Quiet Place’ and ‘Psych’ Teams

Amazon Sets Horror-Comedy Series From ‘A Quiet Place’ and ‘Psych’ Teams
A Quiet Place” producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are teaming up with “Psych” duo Steve Franks and Chris Henze on a horror comedy at Amazon.

Deadline has reported that Amazon has put in development for ”Mitchcraft,” an “aspirational horror”(their words) series with a relationship-comedy base, where a small town fire marshal inadvertently harnesses supernatural forces and becomes a witch.

It’s an eclectic concept and won’t shy away from ridiculousness — in Franks’ words. It’s also a series that its creators seemed destined to make, given their pedigrees. Franks and Henze executive-produced “Psych” (the former also created the series), a detective comedy about a young crime consultant who makes a career out of pretending to be a psychic. The series, which premiered in 2006, garnered a dedicated following throughout its eight-season run before concluding in 2014. The series also included a two-hour musical episode in 2013, followed by a TV

‘Star Trek: Picard’ Review: Our Ex-Locutus Returns to a Borg Cube and Plays the Hero This Time

‘Star Trek: Picard’ Review: Our Ex-Locutus Returns to a Borg Cube and Plays the Hero This Time
It was a dark and stormy night. At least in the strange dream that opened “The Impossible Box,” a dream Soji’s been experiencing for some time and may hold the key to where she really comes from.

It was also a dark and stormy episode of “Star Trek: Picard.” “The Impossible Box” pushed the narrative forward considerably after the rip-roaring detour of Seven of Nine’s rampage the previous week. But it did so not through explosive action but instead through thoughtful character turns: it feels like a lot more happened here than really did, and even those seismic events are moments we could have called well in advance — Soji realizing she’s a synth, Narek getting what he wants from her then, at last, casting her aside, Picard setting foot on a Borg cube once more. But what’s striking is that even though we saw all these moments coming episodes ago,
