Thrones Writers Planned to Keep Jorah Alive — What Changed Their Minds?
Game of Thrones racked up quite the body count in its eighth and final season — but the show’s writers nearly subtracted one death from the eventual tally.

Ser Jorah Mormont, who perished in the gruesome Battle of Winterfell during Season 8, was originally going to survive the series, writer Dave Hill told EW.com. Per Hill, Jorah was supposed to end up at The Wall with Jon Snow, who was banished back to the Night’s Watch in the series finale as punishment for killing Daenerys.

“For a long time, we wanted Ser Jorah to be there at The Wall in the end,

In the Dark Star Weighs In on Reasons for Renewal, Throws Dog Pretzel a Bone

Playing, as she does, a hard-living twentysomething who also happens to be blind on The CW’s In the Dark, Perry Mattfeld breathed a sigh of relief when she got word that there would be a Season 2.

“[Murphy is] such a bold character, so I was feeling very exposed and vulnerable,” the actress shared with TVLine on the red carpet at The CW’s Upfronts. “But then I got a call saying, ‘It’s going to be Ok.'”

Why did the under-the-radar midseason drama merit a pick-up? For one, there’s Pretzel, Murphy’s guide dog. “People are obsessed with her,

Why Too Much TV Can Be a Good Thing (Column)

Why Too Much TV Can Be a Good Thing (Column)
Three episodes into the second season of “Vida,” there’s a wedding so gloriously and specifically queer that I almost couldn’t believe my eyes. After watching countless couples walk down the aisle onscreen before, Starz’s “Vida” takes care to show a ceremony quite unlike any other, featuring drag queens, a pair of Latinx grooms in bedazzled cowboy hats, and enough undercuts to make a Sleater Kinney crowd blush. And yet, perhaps the most unique aspect of the wedding comes during the reception at a moment when the guests are just giddy (and tipsy) enough to relax into freewheeling conversations about their own histories,

RuPaul's Drag Race Reunion Video: The 'Social Media Queens' Get Defensive
No topic is off limits all 15 contestants from Season 11 reunite on Thursday’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race (VH1, 9/8c) to air their grievances. But will the queens play nice, or will this turn into yet another royal rumble?

One hot-button issue is the divide between “social media queens,” those who are perceived more as online personalities than on-stage performers, and “showgirls,” who took more traditional avenues while working their way up. In TVLine’s exclusive clip from the reunion, RuPaul asks the queens with the biggest followings if they felt shaded by those who don’t.

Game of Thrones: 19 Moments We Loved From the Saga's Final Season
You don’t have to be tapped into Bran’s all-seeing network to know that Game of Thrones‘ final season was a disappointment to some of its viewers.

Well, a lot of its viewers.

Ok, an army-of-the-dead-size group of its viewers.

And while it’s fun to point out the fantasy show’s flaws — we’ve sure as heck done so — there was a lot about Season 8 that we genuinely enjoyed. Those Stark-ly beautiful reunions, for instance. Or what about that quiet conversation, fueled by wine, amongst old and new friends? We also loved the reactions of some loyal creatures to their beloved masters’ appearances,
