Aubrey Plaza Dings Host-Less Oscars in Independent Spirit Awards Promo (Video)
In announcing her own hosting gig for the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards, Aubrey Plaza took a shot at that other awards show.

You know the one. The one that doesn’t currently have a host? While she didn’t call the Oscars out by name, the “Parks & Recreation” star took a jab at the Academy Awards, which is currently going forward with its plan to go without an emcee for the first time since 1989.

“What do the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards have that the other award show doesn’t? An actual f–ing host!” the actress says in the promo. “Watch an awards show with a host. Hosted by me, host Aubrey Plaza. I will host,” she added. You can watch the expletive-filled promo above.

Kit Harington's Latest Quotes About the Game of Thrones Finale Have Us Very Worried

Kit Harington's Latest Quotes About the Game of Thrones Finale Have Us Very Worried
Now that Kit Harington has wrapped his role as Jon Snow on Game of Thrones, the British actor has been unafraid of sharing his candid opinions about how the highly anticipated eighth season, which premieres on April 14, concludes. After revealing to GQ Australia that filming the final season drove him and the rest of the cast to the point of crying more than once, and that it seemed "designed to break" them, the 32-year-old's latest comments don't have us feeling any more confident about how things will end for Jon Snow.

Harington sat down on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show and hinted that something about the finale of the final season still really bothers him, telling the host that he's "maybe not happy, but very satisfied" with how the events of the series are resolved.

If You're Confused by the Three-Leaf Clover Situation in Glass, You're Not Alone

  • Popsugar
Warning: some spoilers for Glass can be found ahead!

The real tragedy of Glass is that it raises more questions than it answers. The film should supposedly be the conclusion of the Eastrail 177 Trilogy, which began with the slow and tense buildup of Unbreakable way back at the turn of the century in 2000. So why is it that new mysteries, loose threads, and other such infuriating conundrums pop up throughout the film? This brings me to one of the most perplexing reveals in Glass: a little three-leaf clover tattoo that carries big connotations. If you're confused about what it is and what it means, join the "club," pun intended.

Now, chances are, if you saw Glass, you also saw Split. Those films have obviously been packaged together by the studio, and the studio is counting on fans of Split to see Glass. But Unbreakable is the obvious outlier, having come

Don't Worry - It's Not Hard to Spot M. Night Shyamalan's Cameo in Glass

Don't Worry - It's Not Hard to Spot M. Night Shyamalan's Cameo in Glass
Warning: a few light spoilers for Glass ahead!

Ready or not, Glass has finally arrived in theaters to leave you with fresh inspiration for your nightmares and another reason to avoid Philadelphia. But, while some moments of the sci-fi superhero film are unexpected to the point of being distracting, there's one element of M. Night Shyamalan's movie that we were expecting from the get-go: a cameo from the writer-director himself.

For whatever reason, Shyamalan has made it a point to appear in all of his films in some way or another. His appearances range from blink-and-you'll-miss-them cameos to full-on roles, like in Lady in the Water when he plays a writer who essentially brings about the messiah. From national park guards to doctors, he's played a number of small roles over the years. But in Glass, it shouldn't be hard to spot him whatsoever.

Bow Down, Westeros - How Game of Thrones Has Been Prepping Sansa Stark to Be Queen All Along

Bow Down, Westeros - How Game of Thrones Has Been Prepping Sansa Stark to Be Queen All Along
When it comes to the kings and queens of Game of Thrones, it seems like everyone and their mother is gunning for the throne in some shape or form. We've seen three Baratheons (though one actually was king), four Lannisters, House Tyrell, and what I'm assuming was all of Dorne go down in the battle for the Iron Throne, and the only person who's made any progress is Cersei Lannister - and we all know that's not going to end well. Now that we're quickly approaching the final season, the question on everyone's mind - even the characters themselves - is who will finally claim the Iron Throne? The answer may have been under our noses all along: Sansa Stark.

Since her first introduction, Sansa's narrative centers on queenship. As a tween, she's preparing to be a southern princess and marry Prince Joffrey. She's admittedly at her worst during the beginning of season one,

Glass: A Spoiler-Free Answer to Whether You Should Wait For a Postcredits Scene

Glass: A Spoiler-Free Answer to Whether You Should Wait For a Postcredits Scene
After 2015's The Visit, M. Night Shyamalan continued his goodwill in Hollywood with 2017's Split, an effective, if a little absurd horror film starring James McAvoy as a man with dissociative identity disorder struggling to keep all 23 of his wildly different personalities in check. The final minute of the film ends up revealing that - surprise! - Split takes place in the same universe as Shyamalan's bleak foray into the everyday-man-turns-superhero genre, 2000's Unbreakable. That's what made us so excited for this year's Glass, which connects the characters and events in Split and Unbreakable for a twisted showdown.

Given how fond Shyamalan is of adding surprising cameos to his films, as well as plotting out mind-boggling storylines for his characters to navigate, we were sure that Glass would include either a midcredits or postcredits scene to keep fans of the series hungry for more. Alas, there is no extra footage

President Trump wants to strike a new deal with Democrats to reopen the government -- but his plan is already being shot down by the party's leaders. Dt made his pitch Saturday in a nationally televised address from the White House, where he basically offered limited protections for current Daca recipients and immigrants with temporary protected status in exchange for the border security funding he's demanded. Game of Thrones: Why the Feather in the Season 8 Teaser Is So Important

Game of Thrones: Why the Feather in the Season 8 Teaser Is So Important
I know it's been quite a while, friends, but we finally have some new Game of Thrones footage to feast our eyes on: the official season eight teaser!

In it, Sansa, Arya, and Jon march through the crypts of Winterfell, passing statues of their late relatives, like Ned and Catelyn Stark. When they reach a far wall, though, the trio stumble upon something incredibly foreboding: statues of the three of them, hinting that their own deaths might not be that far off. Then a threatening wave of ice and frost creeps through the crypts, as Jon and Arya draw their swords. Talk about ominous.

But it's one small moment before the wave of cold hits our heroes that we're hung up on: the feather that falls to the ground after Jon walks by a certain statue. As you're likely already very much aware, every little thing on Game of Thrones is done with purpose,

The Bachelor's Ridiculous Cougar Comments Are Laughable, but the Ageism Flows Both Ways

  • Popsugar
At the age of 27, you better apply for an Aarp card - or, at least, that's what the "cougar" standard on the current season of The Bachelor would suggest. From hair length to skin color, the pool of women who are likely to be accepted as contestants on The Bachelor is already limited. Now the topic of age has come into play, and the judgment is going both ways.

We already know that the dating franchise has an age issue. No men ages 21 or 22 years old have ever appeared on The Bachelorette, and only very few 23- and 24-year-old men have ever competed. However, the same can't be said about the women on The Bachelor, where the tables are flipped and more women in their earlier 20s are cast. This season in particular is putting lots of emphasis on the women's age, maybe because Colton Underwood is one of the

One of the Major Filming Locations of Netflix's You Is a Subway Ride Away For New Yorkers

If you haven't watched You on Netflix yet, you're simultaneously saving yourself the trouble of feeling paranoid about stalkers and missing out on a solid binge session. The show - based on Caroline Kepnes's bestselling (and creepy) novel - centers around a guy named Joe Goldberg, played by Gossip Girl's Penn Badgley, who develops an obsessive attraction to a woman named Beck (Elizabeth Lail). Joe works at a bookstore and falls for Beck after she comes into the store, looking for a novel. He begins to track every aspect of her life, going through great (and heinous) lengths to make sure no one except him ends up with her.

The show takes place in New York - Yorkville to be exact - which is pretty clear from all the scenes with taxis and sky-high buildings, quips about the big city life, and, you know, subways that almost kill drunk girls.

The Internet Has a Compelling Theory About Jon Snow Thanks to His Statue in the Teaser

The Internet Has a Compelling Theory About Jon Snow Thanks to His Statue in the Teaser
It's been so long since Game of Thrones was on the air that I honestly forgot what it was like to have the entire world pick apart each frame of footage piece by piece, unearthing potential clues that I wouldn't have been able to spot even if I had microscopes for eyes. Fortunately, when the first teaser for the eighth and final season of the HBO series dropped, diehard fans were ready and willing to dissect each second to see if any secrets were nestled in the walls of the Winterfell crypt. Lo and behold, a big hint about what's to come might have been hiding in plain sight all along.

As a reminder, the brief teaser sees Sansa and Arya Stark, and their sibling/cousin Jon Snow, marching through the crypts, passing statues of their late relatives, like Ned and Catelyn Stark. When they reach a far wall, though,

Totally Perplexed by the Ending of Glass? Here's a Basic Rundown of How Things End Up

Totally Perplexed by the Ending of Glass? Here's a Basic Rundown of How Things End Up
Warning: this post contains Massive spoilers for the latest M. Night Shyamalan movie, Glass!

After 20 years, we're finally getting the conclusion to the trilogy we barely knew existed until, like, two years ago. Glass marks the third (and supposedly final) installment in M. Night Shyamalan's dialed-down superhero universe, coming nearly 20 years after 2000's Unbreakable. Unfortunately, Glass does not provide closure on the whole affair. Rather, it cracks open a whole world of possibilities that, to be frank, have left us scratching our heads. In order to help you piece together what exactly goes down at the end of the film, we're going to give our best shot at making sense of the superhuman mess in Glass.

The Basics

Ok, so you know the basic concept of the film, right? I'll give a hilariously brief summary. On one end, we have David Dunn, our low-key "Superman" who has become a neighborhood vigilante of sorts,

The Far From Home Trailer Suggests a Different Theory on How the Avengers Defeat Thanos

The Far From Home Trailer Suggests a Different Theory on How the Avengers Defeat Thanos
Spider-Man: Far From Home just dropped its first teaser on Jan. 15, but it's already created a maelstrom of questions.

To be fair, the entire teaser could be considered a spoiler since the sequel to Homecoming is believed to follow the events of the unreleased Avengers: Endgame. Specifically, in 2017 Sony producer Amy Pascal said that Far From Home begins "a few minutes after Avengers 4 wraps as a story." Considering it's been almost two years since then, the timeline for Far From Home may have been changed, but the teaser doesn't give any hints as to how long it's been post-Endgame. In fact, nothing about anyone's behavior in the teaser would make you think that there even was a post-Endgame (aside from Tony Stark's notable absence).
